Silver Linings

Jessy Nelson was once a young professional motocross and Supercross racer at the height of his sport, until a career-ending injury forced him to give up his dream.

Still a Red Bull athlete, Jessy teamed up with myself and filmmaker Ryan Walters to create a documentary about his healing journey post-injury. It was a difficult process telling Jessy’s story in a way that was true to his story while remaining sensitive to the touchy subject matter documenting an athlete attempting to recover from a paralyzing injury. But Jessy is a determined guy, and his involvement throughout was what helped set this project apart from the pack.
